Our plan for the planet: a committed and responsible hotel in Saint-Gervais

At PlanB Living Saint-Gervais, we believe a hotel should be more than just a place to pass through. It is a place for living and sharing, rooted in its local area at the foot of Mont-Blanc. Because we have a deep love for our region, we have chosen to take responsibility.

No grand moralizing speeches or greenwashing here: our CSR approach is reflected in concrete, measurable actions and a constant desire to improve in order to shape sustainable tourism.

The Fairscore initiative: measuring our impact with Fairmoove

To move forward, you need to know where you're starting from. That is why PlanB Living Saint-Gervais, alongside the other establishments in the Mont-Blanc Collection group, has committed to the Fairscore initiative with Fairmoove.

This independent solution precisely measures the environmental footprint of a stay with us (breakfast included) based on verifiable indicators. For us, this assessment is not a trophy, but a tool for management and continuous improvement. It allows us to identify areas for progress to build, year after year, a responsible and pragmatic approach to hospitality.

Fewer resources: our in-room actions

Being an eco-responsible hotel means tracking down waste wherever it hides, without ever impacting the comfort of your stay in Saint-Gervais.
‍
Luniwave in every shower: we have equipped 100% of our rooms with Luniwave connected technology. A fun and innovative device that helps raise awareness and actively reduce water consumption while showering.

‍Local guest amenities: in your bathrooms, you will find products from the Terre de Mars brand. They are made in Haute-Savoie, eco-designed, and offered in refillable formats to eliminate single-use plastic.

‍Eco-labeled cleaning: to keep your rooms clean, our teams use eco-labeled cleaning products with a micro-dosing and dilution system, thereby limiting chemical runoff and water transport.

Daily sorting: recycling and waste reduction are an integral part of our behind-the-scenes operational routines.

Homemade cuisine and local common sense

Respecting the environment also happens through your taste buds! At PlanB, we apply a short-supply-chain philosophy to our table.

Homemade and seasonal cuisine:
our Chef and his team prioritize "homemade" dishes and adapt the menu with the seasons.

‍Supporting regional producers: we rigorously select our ingredients from local artisans and producers in the valley. Fewer miles traveled, more flavor on the plate, and direct support for our local economy.

Our social and local commitments

CSR goes beyond ecology. For a committed hotel, the human and social aspect is just as essential. That is why the heart of PlanB beats in rhythm with its community.

We actively support the associations, athletes, and local events that bring the Saint-Gervais and Mont-Blanc valleys to life:
- Loan Bozollo, high-level French snowboarder, 2025 world vice-champion and 2026 Olympic team medalist.
- Les Yétis, the Mont-Blanc Hockey Club.
- Anouck Errard, French downhill champion now competing in skicross.
- Victor Lourdel, freeride skier.
- And numerous local events: Mountain Book Fair, Artocène...

PlanB aims to be a springboard and partner for those who make our region move.
Our supporters

Commitments to the future and diversity

Signing the #StOpE initiative: we are firmly committed to fighting "everyday" sexism in the workplace to ensure a healthy, respectful, and inclusive environment for all our teams.

‍Training young people: we believe in passing on knowledge. PlanB is actively involved in training and mentoring young talent in the hospitality and catering industry (apprentices, interns) to help them develop a passion for the profession.

Partnership with the "Aller Plus Haut" association: we collaborate with this local association and the IME Le Clos Fleuri to open our doors to young people with disabilities. Through very short immersion internships (1.5-hour sessions), we gently introduce them to the behind-the-scenes of our jobs. Accompanied by their educators and our teams, they try their hand at concrete tasks (such as setting up the restaurant dining room) to help foster their future social and professional integration.

Focus on sustainable mobility

Because eco-tourism starts with how you travel, PlanB Living Saint-Gervais actively encourages our guests and staff to prioritize sustainable mobility when exploring our mountains.

In this spirit, we have partnered with Loomi, a committed organization, to rethink the way we travel. Together, we have designed the perfect micro-adventure: a 100% car-free star-shaped hiking trip. We aren't perfect, but we are moving forward. Choosing PlanB Living Saint-Gervais means opting for a stay with purpose, where every small action helps preserve our playground: the Alps.
